As we approach the holiday season, life can feel fuller than ever—packed with time spent with friends and family, the demands of celebrations, and the hustle and bustle that comes with it all. While connection is wonderful, it’s easy to let the precious space for you get swallowed up.
This year, give yourself the gift of not doing.
It sounds simple, doesn’t it? But creating moments of stillness can be profound. The women in my Mastermind recently explored this idea—how finding space can bring clarity, calm, and connection back to ourselves.
Here are a few small ways to embrace the art of not doing this holiday season:
☕ Linger in the morning
Instead of jumping out of bed, stay for an extra minute or two. Breathe deeply, let your thoughts settle, and simply be.
🌸 Savour your morning cuppa
Sit outside or by a sunny window, wrap your hands around your mug, and focus on your breath and the warmth in your hands. Enjoy a quiet moment before the day begins.
🌌 Step into the night
Before bed, take a moment under the stars or in the cool night air. Breathe deeply and reflect on the day with gratitude.
Where will you find your moments?
This holiday season, I encourage you to discover “moments to pause” in your day to enjoy the art of not doing. Concentrate on your breath, centre yourself in your heart space, and feel the beauty of simply being.
Wishing you calm, connection, and the joy of doing not doing this holiday season.
With warmth and best wishes,
Jo xx
